Stay alert with Honda Sensing. The suite of smart technology, which comes standard on Civics, alerts you to various road hazards. Honda Sensing consists of Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS), Road Departure Mitigation System (RDM), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS), Traffic Sign Recognition (TSR), and more.


Collision Mitigation Braking System™ (CMBS™)*

CMBS™ can help bring your vehicle to a stop automatically if the system determins that a front end collision is not avoidable.


*CMBS cannot detect all objects ahead and may not detect a given object; accuracy will vary based on weather, speed and other factors. System operation affected by extreme interior heat. System designed to mitigate crash forces. Driver remains responsible for safely operating vehicle and avoiding collisions.




Road Departure Mitigation System (RDM)**

RDM can determine if you vehicle crosses over detected lanes without signaling and can help you by providing steering assistance to return you to your lane. The system can aslo provide braking to help keep you from leaving the road entirely.


**Road Departure Mitigation only alerts drivers when lane drift is detected without a turn signal in use and can apply mild steering torque to assist driver in maintaining proper lane position and/or brake pressure to slow the vehicle’s departure from a detected lane. RDM may not detect all lane markings or lane departures; accuracy will vary based on weather, speed and road condition. System operation affected by extreme interior heat. Driver remains responsible for safely operating vehicle and avoiding collisions.




Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC)***

ACC helps you maintain a set following interval distance behind a detected vehicle for highway driving. If the detected vehicle slows to a stop. The ACC system is designed to slow your vehicle to a stop as well.After stopping, a simple tap of the throttle tells the ACC system to continue maintaining the desired distance interval.


***ACC cannot detect all objects ahead and may not detect a given object; accuracy will vary based on weather, speed and other factors. ACC should not be used in heavy traffic, poor weather or on winding roads. ACC only includes a limited braking function. Driver remains responsible for slowing or stopping the vehicle to avoid a collision.

Trim-dependent points of interest include Body-Colored Decklid Spoiler, One-Touch Power Moonroof with Tilt Feature, Body-Colored Power Side Mirrors (Heated in EX and EX-L trims and Heated with Integrated LED Turn Indicators in Touring), and Taillights with Integrated LED Light Bars (standard).
