The Best Breakfast and Brunch Places in Renton, WA

September 14th, 2017 by

CoffeeBreakfast and brunch are fun meals to eat out. With both breakfast and lunch options on most brunch menus, it makes it easy to have a little of both if you can’t decide. The Renton area has a variety of breakfast and brunch spots to choose from. Here are some of the more extraordinary places.

Renton Countryside Cafe

Renton Countryside Cafe is a great place for breakfast. It serves all the traditional menu options, such as eggs and pancakes, but it also has some unique offerings. Make sure to try the breakfast burrito, which comes with scrambled eggs, your choice of meat, green peppers, onions, and cheese, along with pico de gallo. This is all wrapped up in a flour tortilla and grilled to perfection. This place also has a wonderful red velvet waffle and a choice of Benedicts.

Peyrassol Cafe

Head to Lake Washington Boulevard in Renton to the Peyrassol Cafe for a delicious breakfast or brunch. Brunch is Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and includes a wonderful variety of benedicts, including lakeside Eggs Benedict and Smoked Salmon Benedict. There is also a Dutch baby yummy, which is a German baked pancake served in a cast iron skillet with powdered sugar and maple syrup. The French toast at Peyrassol is not your average breakfast food. Peyrassol makes it with baguette slices dipped in a cinnamon custard, then it’s grilled just right. It’s served with euro butter and maple syrup. You can also get steak and potatoes, or soup and salad if you prefer something lighter.

Trenchers Kitchen & Tap

Trenchers is a popular spot for drinks and cocktails at night, but it also serves a wonderful brunch. You can head to Trenchers on a Saturday or Sunday to have some food and drinks while you watch the game. This place serves huge portions, and the French toast is enough for two people. If you enjoy a Benedict, make sure to try the crab Benedict, which comes with house-made cheddar biscuits topped with Dungeness crab, a poached egg, and Cajun hollandaise sauce. The portabella frittata is also a good choice, along with the steak skillet.

Jay Berry’s Cafe

Check out Jay Berry’s Cafe on Renton Issaquah Road for some unique brunch options. The biscuits and gravy comes with two biscuits along with hash browns. The savory gravy has pieces of pork in it, and if you ask for a side of bacon, it comes in thick-cut strips cooked nice and crisp. Make sure to start with one of the homemade cinnamon rolls, which are huge and served warm. You can also get $3 mimosas and $3 bloody marys at Jay Berry’s depending on the day. You’ll find some unique flavor options here, such as the pineapple mimosa.

There are lots of breakfast and brunch choices in the Renton area, whether you want a big hearty meal or just some coffee and a muffin or something light. Several places serve breakfast all day long, so you can even get your pancakes or waffles any time of day.
