Burien Farmers Market Begins May 3rd
Burien Farmers Market Opening in May
Each Thursday afternoon from early May through late October, the Burien Farmers Market brings an impressive variety of farm-fresh produce, flowers, prepared food and dessert, handcrafted goods, and live entertainment to Town Square Park in the heart of Burien. Organized by the non-profit Discover Burien, the Farmers’ Market brings the community together by offering 40-50 local vendors a place to showcase their products for Burienites and their neighbors. The market is a much-anticipated event for both residents and nearby businesses, as it fills the area with a lively spirit and draws visitors from across the area.
Highlights of the Burien Farmers Market include:
Lowrider Baking Company’s signature cookies
Grand Central Bakery’s artisanal breads
Niño Blanco Foods’ tasty chips and salsa
Mystery Bay Coastal Cuisine’s savory seafood entrées
Other favorites include a bountiful selection of fresh, Washington-grown fruits and vegetables, gorgeous flowers and plants of numerous varieties, and delicious meals from several food trucks. Unique gifts and souvenirs are also plentiful, including candles, soaps, jewelry, pottery, and more. Discover Burien requires vendors to grow, craft, or process what they sell, so patrons are sure to find one-of-a-kind options for everyone on their list. In addition, one local non-profit will be selected each week to share information and fundraise for their cause. Each vendor stall offers a new surprise as market patrons stroll down the pathway. From the abundance of goods to engaging conversation with friendly local vendors, visitors are sure to find something they will love at the market.
