The Honda CR-Z is changing in a great way
The Honda CR-Z Hybrid has always been a vehicle for unique tastes. While it has a cult following of sorts, it hasn’t always been able to grab onto that mass appeal. That could all change quickly now thanks to Honda’s announcement of a Honda CR-Z with a turbo engine. The next CR-Z is sure to put the vehicle in front of an entirely new audience. The Honda will be a 2017 model year vehicle, and the ramped up engine under the hood will be a 2.0-liter turbo.
Naturally, when hearing about this new Honda CR-Z with a turbo engine, everyone wants to know the details on the powertrain. We actually have some of those for you already. The 2.0-liter VTEC four-cylinder turbo will be able to pump out an impressive 280 horsepower. To give an idea of the competition, consider that the next CR-Z may even be marketed as a Civic model – leaving us with the Civic CR-Z. Now do we have your attention?
For those that did love the hybrid version of the CR-Z, it appears that it will unfortunately not be available here in the states. But, we’re pretty sure the excitement surrounding the new version of the vehicle will replace any concerns that are brought up by the lack of a hybrid.
If you’re ready to get behind the wheel of this new CR-Z already, the reality is you may have to wait. But, you can get in touch with us today to get a better idea of when it will become a reality. Because you can bet that we are just as eager as you to see the vehicle in person.
