Honda Partners With 88rising To Promote Emerging Asian Artists

Honda has discovered a new way to connect music with cars by teaming up with 88rising, a global music and media company that helps extremely talented Asians fulfill their highest potential in the music industry. Since 2022, Honda has been 88rising’s official automotive partner, aiding in “bridging the gap” between Asian American and American musicians. Honda initiated its partnership with the launch of the all-new HR-V compact SUV.

During the 2023 New York Head in the Clouds Musical and Arts Festival this past May, several Asian artists were featured in docu-series, including Warren Hue, who was awarded the Gold Honor by the Shorty Awards. The festival featured a 2000 Honda Civic Si project car and the all-new 2023 Honda Civic Type R, the most powerful Honda ever produced for the United States. An exclusive merchandise store was opened up in honor of the event, showcasing the “88 Type R” and the late 90s to early 00s of Asian car culture. 

Honda has been attracting younger, diverse generations of car buyers all over the United States through its annual Honda Civic Tour for about 22 years. Honda has partnerships involving festivals (like the one mentioned above), online music programming, music performances, and more.
