The Honda Pilot is coming soon with even better features

2016 Honda Pilot features and specs in Seattle WA

Previously we said the 2016 Honda Pilot is expected in fall of this year, but it looks like the release date will be even sooner, coming sometime this summer. While Honda remains hush on exactly when it will be available to test drive, the automaker has finally given us more information on what shoppers can expect to see. Today we’re excited to talk about some of the great 2016 Honda Pilot features and specs in Seattle WA.

2016 Honda Pilot Engine and Drivetrain Specs

The newest Pilot will come standard in five trim styles, the LX, EX, EX-L, Touring and Elite. The first three trim levels come standard with the 6-speed automatic, while the Touring and Elite will come with the 9-speed automatic transmission. Each one also will be available with either 2WD or AWD, except the Elite which will only come in AWD.

Exciting for this model year is the new engine coming from Honda’s EarthDreams Technology Powertrain series. This engine will be a direct-injected 3.5-liter SOHC i-VTEC V-6, which is estimated to deliver 280 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque, giving the new Pilot roughly 30hp and 9 lb-ft of torque over the 2015 model year.

New Technology and Features in the 2016 Honda Pilot

There is a lot to be said about increased performance and an improved design, but drivers will have to wait to see and feel for themselves to get a true impression. Features in the 2016 Honda Pilotwill include up to five USB ports, plus other ports and jacks for a variety of audio players and devices and Bluetooth.

The EX trim get automatic headlights, heated mirrors, keyless access and start, Honda Lane Watch, a power adjustable driver’s seat, three-zone automatic climate control, an 8-inch touchscreen audio interface with an Android-based operating system and HondaLInk smarphone features.

The EX-L adds on the sunroof, leather upholstery, one-touch sliding second-row seats, a power adjustable passenger seat, heated from seats and a power tailgate.

Of course, the Touring takes all these features and adds on roof rails, automatic engine start/stop, rear marking sensors, a 10-speaker sound system and driver memory settings.

Finally, the Elite has LED headlights with automatic high-beam headlight control, LaneWatch is replaced with the blind-spot monitor with rear cross traffic alerts, automatic windshield wipers, a panoramic sunroof, heated and ventilated front seats, second row captain chairs and a heated steering wheel.
