The New and Improved 2023 Honda HR-V is Finally Here

The HR-V is back with a new look! Bigger than previous models, the 2023 Honda HR-V is updated with new technology and safety features that make it best one yet. Although it’s increased in size, the HR-V still fits in the subcompact crossover/SUV market, providing both passenger and cargo capacity in an easy-to-drive package.

What’s New for 2023?

There’s a lot new for 2023, both in performance and features. A more powerful engine sits under the hood, upgraded from a 1.8L to a 2.0L In-Line 4-Cylinder. The suspension gets a boost, too, with MacPhersen Front Suspension and a multi-link rear suspension to round it out. Together, that makes for a smoother ride with fewer bumps along the way. What really changes the look is the larger body size, a full 9.4 inches longer than previous models with a larger wheel base as well. The larger size and new design make for a more modern look for the new HR-V.

New tech is featured throughout the interior, like a 7-inch touchscreen with Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto compatibility that gets upgraded to 9 inches at higher trim levels. There’s another 7-inch Driver Information Interface Screen and charging ports throughout the cabin for every passenger. HondaLink is now available, which includes app-controlled features to connect you to your Honda from anywhere. You can check your fuel level, run a vehicle health report, and even send navigation information right from your smartphone to your HR-V.

Of course, no new vehicle is complete without the latest in safety and driver assist features, and the HR-V has it new for 2023. Each of the three trims comes with Honda Sensing, a full suite of features that help keep you safer on the road. Adaptive Cruise Control automatically maintains a safe distance from vehicles ahead, and the Collision Mitigation Braking System applies brakes for you when it detects an unavoidable accident. The full suite includes even more features like Lane Keeping Assist, Traffic Sign Recognition, and a Cross Traffic Monitor. Honda Sensing is standard, providing every driver the extra assurance needed in any driving environment.
