Indeed, the 2023 list includes the BMW i4, the Corvette and the Porsche 718 Boxster. We won’t lie… these are nice vehicles, but they certainly come with a high price tag that is out of the budget for most drivers.

Obviously, this is a much more reasonable price point than much of the rest of the 10Best list. So, why did Car and Driver choose two Honda models to include in the list this year? Well, it’s actually nothing new. Honda is the winningest brand in the 10Best list’s history. The publication cites the Accord’s refined quality, smooth ride and quiet cabin, along with its improved fuel economy. For the Civic, Car and Driver notes that even the base model is “a joy to drive” thanks to its engaging handling and precise steering. The Civic for 2023 also has Type R and Si models at the top of its trim level list, delivering that high-end performance we mentioned at a budget-friendly price.
